Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 28, 2026 Last Updated: September 9, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Numeral Digital, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Akmon”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use any Akmon product — our mobile applications (including the Akmon app and the Akmon Math Solver app), our browser extension, and our website at akmon.app (collectively, the “Service”).

Akmon is an AI-powered writing assistant that helps you rewrite, polish, and improve drafts of your text, and offers related AI tools (including the Math Solver, which accepts photos of problems). You submit content, and Akmon uses artificial intelligence to produce suggestions, rewrites, and answers. This policy describes how we handle the data involved in that process.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Data Controller

Numeral Digital, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company 1111B S Governors Ave STE 23743, Dover, DE 19904, United States Email: support@akmon.app

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, Numeral Digital, LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal data under GDPR and UK GDPR.

3. Data We Collect

In short: account details when you sign in, the content you submit and the results we generate, basic subscription and payment status, and standard device/technical data. We do not collect voice, contacts, or precise location.

3.1 Account Data

When you create an account — using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or a one-time email code — we receive your email address (or an Apple/Google-generated relay address, if you choose one), your name if you share it, and a unique user identifier.

3.2 Your Content

The content you submit, including text, documents, images (for example, photos submitted to our Math Solver tool), and links you provide (for example, a video URL you ask us to summarize); any instructions or presets you choose; the AI-generated output; and your editing/history record tied to your account. This is stored on our servers, encrypted at rest and in transit, so it can sync across your signed-in devices. You can delete individual records in the app or website, or delete your account to remove all of it — see §8 (Data Retention) and §9 (Your Rights).

3.3 Subscription and Payment Data

If you subscribe, we receive your subscription status, plan, and renewal dates from the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) or from our payment processor. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors — the applicable app store for in-app purchases, or Stripe, Inc. for purchases made on our website. We never receive your card details, bank information, or app store account password.

3.4 Device and Technical Data

Device model, operating system and app version, language/locale, IP address and approximate (country-level) location, and crash/diagnostic logs. We use approximate location, among other things, to show regional pricing and to help detect fraud and abuse.

3.5 What We Do Not Collect

Voice recordings, audio, or biometric identifiers; your contacts or address book; precise GPS location; or your browsing history outside Akmon. We do not request microphone or contacts access.

3.6 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and tags) to run the site, understand how it is used and measure our marketing. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies; you can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

EU AI Act Article 50 Notice. Akmon uses artificial intelligence to generate writing suggestions and other content. You are interacting directly with an AI system, and generated output may contain inaccuracies and is not human-authored.

5. AI-Generated Content

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose, and may resemble content created by others — we do not guarantee that it is original or unique. You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing anything you use. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated content created from your input.

We may use de-identified content to evaluate, debug, and improve our AI models. Where practicable, identifying details are removed before any internal analysis. This does not affect the account-deletion rights described in §9 — de-identified derivative data may be retained after account deletion.

6. Third Parties and Processors

We share data only as needed to run the Service, and always under contractual confidentiality and data-processing terms:

  • AI compute providers — process the content you submit solely to return AI-generated results. We choose providers that do not use your content to train their own models and/or that contractually restrict such use.
  • Apple / Google — sign-in identity, and, for in-app purchases, subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Payment processors — Stripe, Inc. processes payments made on our website.
  • Subscription-management, cloud infrastructure, analytics and advertising, email-delivery, and workflow/messaging processors — support account sync, hosting, anonymized usage analytics, marketing measurement, transactional email, and internal support workflows; each receives only what it needs for that function.
  • Legal and safety — we may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal data. We use analytics and advertising services to measure and improve our marketing, which, in some jurisdictions, may be considered “sharing” personal information for advertising purposes. Our advertising partners (such as Google and Meta) may also receive a hashed (irreversibly transformed) version of your email address so they can measure whether their ads led to sign-ups or purchases. Where this applies, you can opt out via “Cookie settings” in the footer, browser/device privacy controls, or by contacting support@akmon.app.

7. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and other regions where our infrastructure and processors operate. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, included in our processors’ data processing agreements.

8. Data Retention

We keep account data and your content for as long as your account is active. Subscription and payment records are kept for the duration of your account plus any period required for tax/legal purposes. Crash and diagnostic logs are kept up to 12 months. AI-processing intermediaries (prompts, embeddings, token streams) are not retained — they are ephemeral per request. Anonymous, signed-out activity (for example, browser extension use without an account) is retained indefinitely under a random, non-identifying install identifier, since it cannot be linked back to you; contact support@akmon.app to request deletion of this data.

Account deletion is available at any time in-app or on the website (Settings → Delete account). If you have an active, renewing subscription purchased on our website, you’ll need to cancel it first; app store subscriptions are managed separately through Apple/Google and are not affected by account deletion. Once deletion is complete, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Anti-abuse retention. As permitted under App Store Guideline 5.1.1 and GDPR Art. 17(3)/Recital 47, we retain a small set of irreversible, pseudonymized identifiers for up to 90 days after account deletion, solely to prevent abuse of free-tier limits (e.g., delete-and-recreate cycles). This data cannot be used to re-identify you and is deleted automatically after 90 days.

9. Your Rights

GDPR (EEA/UK residents): You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time (for processing based on consent) without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Contact support@akmon.app; we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Deleting your account also automatically revokes Akmon’s Sign in with Apple authorization on Apple’s servers (per Apple TN3194); no extra step is required. You can independently review or revoke this at any time in iOS Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Akmon → Stop Using Apple ID.

CCPA/CPRA (California residents): We do not process sensitive personal information. You have the rights to know, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data (see §6), and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Contact support@akmon.app or use in-app account deletion; we acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (extendable by 45 days with notice).

10. Children’s Privacy

Akmon is intended for users aged 13 and older (higher where required by local law) and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it promptly. Contact support@akmon.app if you believe we have collected data from a child under 13.

11. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest, secure infrastructure, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date and, where significant, additional notice through the App or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Routine operational changes — such as changing infrastructure or AI-model vendors — are not material changes for this purpose.

13. Browser Extension

The free Akmon Chrome extension applies this Policy, with these extension-specific points:

  • It sends your selected/pasted text to our servers only when you trigger a rewrite, plus a random on-device install identifier (to enforce the free daily word limit without an account) and your timezone (to reset the limit at local midnight). It does not read page content in the background, and shows a one-time consent notice before first use.
  • It does not collect browsing history, page content beyond what you submit, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers, and requires no account.
  • Rewrite text, results, and basic technical metadata are logged server-side to prevent abuse and maintain quality; signed-in users can delete these via History or by deleting their account. Anonymous (signed-out) records persist under the install identifier — see §8 for retention, and contact support@akmon.app to request deletion.
  • The Extension’s data use follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy’s Limited Use requirements: used only for its single stated purpose, never sold or used for advertising.
