Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 28, 2026 Last Updated: May 16, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Numeral Digital, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Akmon”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the Akmon mobile application (“App”) and our website at akmon.app (“Website”), collectively referred to as the “Service.”
Akmon is an AI-powered writing assistant that helps you rewrite, polish, and improve drafts of your text. You submit text, and Akmon uses artificial intelligence to produce suggestions, rewrites, grammar corrections, and tone adjustments. This policy describes how we handle the data involved in that process.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Data Controller
Numeral Digital, LLC A Delaware limited liability company
1111B S Governors Ave STE 23743 Dover, DE 19904, United States
Email: support@akmon.app
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, Numeral Digital, LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR.
3. Data We Collect
3.1 Account Data
When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we receive:
- Your email address (or an Apple-generated relay address, if you choose to use “Hide My Email”)
- Your name (if you choose to share it)
- A unique user identifier
Sign in with Apple — private relay handling: If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature, we receive only an Apple-generated relay email address (@privaterelay.appleid.com). We do not attempt to resolve, reverse-engineer, or combine this address with other data to identify you personally. Email delivered to the relay address is forwarded by Apple to your real inbox without our visibility into the destination address.
3.2 User Inputs and Generated Content
- The text you submit for AI-assisted writing (drafts, paragraphs, paste-ins)
- Any instructions or parameters you provide (tone preset, reading level, freeze list, rewrite prompt)
- AI-generated outputs (rewrites, suggestions, polished drafts)
- Editing history tied to your account
- Reactions you give to outputs (thumbs up/down, optional reason and short note)
Cross-device server storage. Your humanize history (input text, generated output, preset, timestamps, AI score) is stored on our servers in Cloudflare D1, an encrypted managed database. This enables your history to sync across iPhone and (in the future) other devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Each record is associated only with an irreversible cryptographic hash of your account identifier, so only you — accessing through your authenticated Akmon account — can retrieve it. Data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption provided by our infrastructure operator and in transit (TLS 1.2+). You can delete individual records from within the app at any time, or delete your entire account to remove all server-side data (see §9 Data Retention and §10 Your Rights).
3.3 Subscription and Purchase Data
If you subscribe to Akmon Pro, Apple processes your payment. We receive:
- Subscription status (active, expired, trial)
- Subscription plan type
- Purchase and renewal dates
We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID password. All payment processing is handled by Apple.
RevenueCat processor disclosure. Subscription status and entitlements are synchronized via RevenueCat, Inc. (“RevenueCat”). RevenueCat receives: App Store transaction identifiers, anonymous user identifiers generated by Akmon, and subscription lifecycle events (purchase, renewal, cancellation, expiration). RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, content drafts, or any personal content you submit to the Service. RevenueCat acts as a data processor on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Their privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
3.4 Device and Technical Data
We may collect:
- Device model and operating system version
- App version and build number
- Language and locale settings
- Crash logs and diagnostic data
3.5 Data We Do NOT Collect
- Voice recordings, audio data, or biometric identifiers (Akmon does not request microphone access)
- Contacts or address book
- Precise location data (GPS coordinates, latitude/longitude)
- Browsing history outside Akmon
- Photos or camera data (the iOS Share Extension reads text only)
- Advertising identifiers (we do not use ad tracking, and Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt is not shown because we do not track across apps or websites)
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your data for the following purposes:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
5. How AI Processing Works
This section describes how Akmon handles the text you submit for AI-assisted writing.
The Processing Flow
- You enter or paste text into Akmon.
- Your text is securely transmitted (TLS) over the internet to Akmon’s backend for processing.
- AI Processing: Akmon uses proprietary AI language models to generate writing assistance. Your text is processed on secure cloud infrastructure operated by our service providers.
- The AI-generated response is returned to Akmon and stored as part of your account’s editing history.
- Ephemeral processing: We do not retain intermediate processing artifacts (prompts, tokens, embeddings, AI model internal state) after the response is returned. Your final inputs and outputs are stored on our servers as part of your account.
What Our AI Infrastructure Receives
- The text you submit for assistance
- Any instructions or parameters you provide (for example: “make this more formal”, tone preset, reading level)
What Our AI Infrastructure Does NOT Receive
- Your email address, account identifiers, or subscription status
- Your device identifiers
- Any other document in your account beyond the one being processed
AI Infrastructure Provider Practices
Our cloud-compute partners process your text solely to provide AI-generated responses to Akmon. They are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit using your content to train their own public models. We do not disclose specific AI model versions or compute providers as a matter of business practice; we may change providers at any time without prior notice, subject to Section 13 (Changes to This Privacy Policy).
Use of Inputs for Service Improvement
We may use anonymized user inputs and Generated Content to evaluate, debug, troubleshoot, and improve our humanizer models, including training and refining model behavior. Where practicable, identifying details are removed before any internal analysis. Using the Service constitutes consent to this use. If you do not consent, do not use the Service. This use does not affect your account-side data deletion rights described in Section 9 (Data Retention) — anonymized derivative data may be retained after account deletion as part of model training corpora.
EU AI Act Article 50 Notice
Akmon uses artificial intelligence to generate writing suggestions and rewritten content. You are interacting directly with an AI system. In accordance with Article 50 of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (enforced from 2 August 2026), we disclose the following:
- You are interacting with an AI-powered writing tool.
- Generated output is produced by a generative AI model and may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or content inconsistent with your intent.
- Generated content is not authored by a human and should not be represented as such in contexts where that distinction is legally, academically, professionally, or ethically required.
- We recommend reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before using it for any purpose.
6. AI-Generated Content
Akmon uses artificial intelligence to rewrite, polish, and improve your text drafts. You should be aware that:
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your intended purpose
- You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any AI-generated content before using it for any purpose
- AI-generated content may resemble content created by others; we do not guarantee the originality of generated text
- We do not claim ownership of AI-generated content created from your input
7. Third Parties
We share your data with the following categories of third parties:
Cloud Infrastructure & AI Compute Providers
Our backend AI processing runs on secure cloud-compute partners’ infrastructure. These providers receive your text input and instruction parameters (for example: tone preset, reading level, freeze list) solely to perform AI inference on our behalf. They are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit retention beyond what is necessary to serve our requests, and prohibit using your content to train their own public models. We do not name specific compute providers as a matter of business practice and reserve the right to change providers at any time.
Service Providers
- Apple — subscription billing and payment processing, Sign in with Apple identity provider
- RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription entitlement synchronization (processor, sees only transaction identifiers and subscription events; does not receive your name, email, or content)
- Cloudflare, Inc. — edge compute and content delivery infrastructure for our backend API (Workers, KV, D1 storage)
- TelemetryDeck — anonymized iOS app analytics. Receives only hashed user identifiers, event names, and aggregated usage counters; does not receive raw text, names, email addresses, or any content you submit
- Resend, Inc. — transactional email delivery for service-related notifications (e.g., fair-use warnings, account-related alerts). Receives only the destination email address and message body; does not receive your text inputs or Generated Content
Legal and Safety
We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
We do not sell or share your personal data to any third party for cross-context behavioral advertising or any other commercial purpose. If you are a California resident, this serves as our notice that we do not “sell” or “share” your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and Singapore. Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider, processes account data, subscription state, and humanize history in its global edge network and managed database service (currently provisioned in the APAC region). When we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, which are part of Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum and apply automatically to our use of their services.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
| Data Type | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Account data | Duration of your active account |
| Generated content and editing history | Duration of your active account |
| AI processing intermediaries (prompts, embeddings, token streams) | Not retained — ephemeral per request |
| Subscription data | Duration of your account + as required for tax/legal records |
| Crash logs and diagnostics | Up to 12 months |
Upon account deletion (Settings → Delete account), all associated personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records related to subscription purchases).
Anti-abuse retention exception. As an exception specifically permitted by App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1 (retention for “fraud and anti-abuse purposes”) and GDPR Article 17(3) read with Recital 47 (legitimate interest in preventing fraud), we retain the following pseudonymized data points for up to 90 days after account deletion: (i) a salted, irreversible HMAC-SHA256 hash of your authentication identifier (the Apple subject identifier returned by Sign in with Apple), (ii) an aggregate monthly word counter (integer count, no content), and (iii) a deletion tombstone keyed by your former session identifier. The retained data cannot be reversed to identify you and is used solely to prevent abuse of free-tier usage limits across delete-and-recreate cycles and across cached sessions on previously-paired devices. After 90 days, these entries expire automatically and are permanently deleted.
10. Your Rights
10.1 Rights Under GDPR (EEA and UK Residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under GDPR / UK GDPR:

11. Children’s Privacy
Akmon is rated 4+ in the App Store and is positioned as a writing-assistance tool. By accepting these Terms, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@akmon.app.
12. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+), secure server infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers edge network), and access controls. Your account is protected by Sign in with Apple authentication.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. For significant changes that affect how we process your data, we will provide reasonable notice through the App or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
Routine operational changes — including changes to our cloud-compute providers, AI model versions, or infrastructure vendors — do not constitute material changes and are made at our discretion in accordance with this policy.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
