About Akmon

What is Akmon?

Akmon is a set of AI-powered study tools built to help with schoolwork — and beyond. Our two flagship products are the Humanizer, which rewrites AI-generated text so it reads naturally, and the AI Math Solver, which walks through step-by-step solutions to math problems.

Alongside these, we build a growing set of free tools — a Paraphraser, a PDF summarizer, a PDF translator, a YouTube summarizer, and more — all available at /tools/.

What's the difference between Casual and Academic mode?

Both modes are available across Akmon's products:

  • Casual — a natural, conversational tone for blogs, posts, emails, and marketing copy.
  • Academic — a formal register that preserves citations, technical terms, and longer sentence structure, for essays and papers.

Try both on the same input to see which fits better.

Which languages can the humanizer write in?

English, Spanish, Korean, French, Portuguese (Brazil), German, and Italian — with more on the way.

Humanizer

How many words can I humanize at once?

On the free plan, each request can be up to 250 words. Upgrade to the paid plan and that limit rises to 3,000 words per request.

Limits can change as we keep improving the product — the humanizer always shows your current limit before you submit.

Which AI detectors does Akmon help you pass?

We built Akmon to produce text that reads naturally and isn't flagged by detectors including Turnitin, GPTZero, Copyleaks, ZeroGPT, QuillBot's AI checker, Writer, Sapling, and Originality.

Detectors update constantly, though, so we can't guarantee a result lasts forever — always follow your school's or employer's rules on AI-assisted writing. See our Terms of Use for the full detail.

What if my text still gets flagged as AI?

A few things to try:

  • Tap Regenerate to get a fresh rewrite — small variations can make a difference.
  • Switch to the other mode (CasualAcademic) and see if it scores better.
  • Lightly edit the output yourself — a few small tweaks in your own words often help.

Detectors update constantly, so no tool can guarantee a 100% pass every time. If it keeps happening, email us — we look into patterns like this.

How do I humanize a long document?

Split it into parts that fit your plan's current per-request limit, and run each part through the humanizer separately — upgrading to the paid plan gives you a much higher per-request limit, so you'll need fewer splits. See how many words you can humanize at once for the exact numbers.

Chrome extension

How do I open the humanizer from the Chrome extension?

There are several ways, all opening the same panel:

  • The draggable edge tab on the right edge of any page
  • The selection toolbar that appears when you select text
  • Right-click a selection and choose Humanize with Akmon
  • A keyboard shortcut
  • The toolbar popup
Can I hide the extension's on-page tab or toolbar?

Yes — from the extension's own settings you can hide the edge tab or selection toolbar per-site, for the current session, or permanently, without uninstalling.

Purchases & billing

What do I get with Akmon Pro?

Akmon Pro unlocks higher usage limits across Akmon's tools — for example, the humanizer gets a much higher per-request word limit — with more benefits on the way.

Pricing, billing period, and any trial terms are shown in the app at the point of purchase.

How do I restore my purchase after switching devices?

Open Akmon → Settings → tap Subscription. A panel opens (it's Apple's subscription manager, built into iOS) — tap Restore Purchases inside it.

You need to be signed in with the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. If you used a different Apple ID, or if a family member made the purchase, Restore won't find it — sign in with the correct Apple ID first.

Still no luck? Email support@akmon.app with your Apple ID email and approximate purchase date.

How do subscriptions renew, and how do I cancel?

Subscriptions auto-renew through Apple's App Store: your Apple ID is charged when you subscribe and again at each renewal, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in Apple ID → Account Settings → Subscriptions on your device.

Deleting your Akmon account does not cancel your subscription — cancel it separately in Apple ID Account Settings to avoid future charges.

How do refunds work?

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests need to go through Apple's support channels directly — we don't process refunds ourselves.

Account & data

How do I delete my account?

Inside Akmon: Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete account (in red) → type DELETE → tap Delete account to confirm.

We also automatically revoke Akmon's authorization with Apple — no extra steps needed in iOS Settings.

Your data is removed from our servers within 30 days — see the Privacy Policy for details.

Does my history sync across devices?

Yes — your history syncs across any devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

You can delete individual records in-app at any time, or delete your account entirely to remove everything.

Troubleshooting

The result isn't what I expected — what can I do?

A few things to try, in order:

  1. Tap Regenerate — gets a fresh rewrite; small variations can make a difference.
  2. Switch mode — try Casual if you used Academic, or vice versa.
  3. Edit the input — very short fragments or heavy technical jargon sometimes throw the model off.
  4. If an output looks broken, tap the More menu (…) on that result, then Report Output — pick a reason and submit. We read every report and act on them.
Why do I see a queue or a security check before my text processes?

During busy periods you may briefly see your position in a free queue with an estimated wait — it clears on its own. You may also see a quick Cloudflare security check; if it times out or expires, just try again, or refresh the page if it says the check is unavailable.

I found a bug — how do I report it?

Email support@akmon.app with:

  1. Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
  2. The Akmon version (Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Akmon)
  3. A short description of what you were doing when it broke
  4. A screenshot if anything visual looked wrong

We usually have a fix or workaround within a day or two.
