Most questions have a quick answer below. If yours isn't covered, scroll to the bottom and email us — we read everything and usually reply within 24 hours.
I lost access after switching devices. What now?
Open Akmon → Settings → tap Subscription. A panel opens (it's Apple's subscription manager, built into iOS) — tap Restore Purchases inside it.
You need to be signed in with the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. If you used a different Apple ID, or if a family member made the purchase, Restore won't find it — sign in with the correct Apple ID first.
Still no luck? Email support@akmon.app with your Apple ID email and approximate purchase date.
How do I delete my account?
Inside Akmon: Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete account (in red) → type DELETE → tap Delete account to confirm.
All your humanize history, sessions, and preferences are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. We also automatically revoke Akmon's authorization with Apple — no extra steps needed in iOS Settings.
Note: for fraud and anti-abuse purposes, we keep three pseudonymized items for up to 90 days after deletion — a salted hash of your Apple authentication ID, an aggregate monthly word counter, and a deletion tombstone. None of these can be reversed to identify you. Full detail in the Privacy Policy.
What's the difference between Casual and Academic mode?
Tap the mode chip near the input on the main screen — a small popup appears with two options:
- Casual — natural, conversational tone for blogs, posts, emails, marketing copy.
- Academic — formal register that preserves citations, technical terms, and longer sentence structure for essays and papers.
Try both on the same input to see which fits better.
My result doesn't match what I expected. What can I do?
A few things to try, in order:
- Tap Regenerate — gets a fresh output with a different seed.
- Switch mode — try Casual if you used Academic, or vice versa.
- Edit the input — very short fragments or heavy technical jargon sometimes throw the model off.
- If an output looks broken, tap the More menu (…) on that result, then Report Output — pick a reason and submit. We read these and use them to improve the model.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
Email support@akmon.app with:
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- The Akmon version (Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Akmon)
- A short description of what you were doing when it broke
- A screenshot if anything visual looked wrong
We usually have a fix or workaround within a day or two.
